THE CAUSE
Corban University desires to raise funds toward improving athletics facilities and general athletic team budgets. The university also desires to use funds to maintain the running course year-round. The event also creates funds as a donation to the Oregon Special Olympics.
THE COURSE
Corban University has developed a series of cross country loops on its surrounding property ranging from 2k-8k in distance. The 12 hour 5k or 3.1 mile loop is mostly grass trail with a very fast 1000m finish on asphalt. The elevation rise during the loop is an estimated 190 feet.
FORMAT
Relay teams race the 5k loop continuously for 12 hours starting at 8 a.m. and must begin their final lap before 8 p.m. After 8 p.m. the starting area will close down and not allow runners to begin another lap. All runners still on the course must finish completing their teams' final lap. The team from each category that can post the most laps in the shortest amount of time on their final lap wins the category. For example, a team that has completed 15 laps with a finish time of 8:31 p.m. would beat a team that completed 15 laps with a finish time of 8:47 p.m. And, of course, a team that completed 16 laps with a finish time of 8:50 p.m. would beat them both.
AWARDS
Sport class division winners will receive a 12 HOURS @ CORBAN team trophy and medal. Amateur class winners with receive 12 HOURS @ CORBAN medals. Each division winner will set division course records and be subject to verification of class qualification.

A Sport class team may not compete in an amateur class. Amateur teams may compete up to a Sport class. If not finding a division, please call us at 503-375-7021.
Note: Relay running involves teamwork, comradery and sportsmanship. A big part of sportsmanship is honor. Each runner is on their honor when signing up for a race class.
